The “F” Word

The F-word Graphic

I have never been more peeved about something than what I’m writing about today. The “F” word. As you may have heard, Isaiah Washington, who plays Dr. Preston Burke on the hit show “Grey’s Anatomy”, has shown his hatred once again. This time for all of us to hear. After the Golden Globes in the press room this past Monday, referring to his comments towards newly out T.R. Knight, he stated “No, I did not call T.R. (Knight) a faggot. “Planned Parenthood is launching one of the most important birth control campaigns in our 90-year history. Our target audience is small, but influential — the 100 members of the United States Senate. We’re working to provide them with vitally important facts about health care and birth control.

Lies, Lies and Alibis

Do you know when someone is lying to you? Have you ever looked at someone and second-guessed what they were saying? I have often been faced with this dilemma myself. But if you’re like me, you may have given that person the benefit of the doubt. It’s great to be nice, but the more you’re nice, they more they may lie and then you become the welcome mat right outside your own door. Don’t be the door mat!

Friends and Lovers

Sometimes people come into your life and you instantly develop a certain type of relationship or connection with them. And as time moves forward, those connections may change, fade or stay the same. And depending on how the relationship started can it ultimately be what causes the change. Sorda like what goes up, must come down or “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction”.

If you start out as friends, can you become lovers? And if you start out as lovers, can you be friends? If you develop feelings for a friend, should you tell them? How will it affect the friendship? Can you truly be friends with a past love or lover and not expose your true feelings?
